Will Matt Murdock don his little black suit in Daredevil: Born Again? New set photos tease the hero is headed for Shadowland going into season 2.
With Daredevil: Born Again season 2 filming alongside the release of the show’s inaugural outing, the internet has been rampant with speculation about what certain set photos could mean for the show going forward. And given what fans have seen when it comes to returning characters and new threats, it seems as though the series has a long way to go heading into the mid-season finale.
Though it seems the most exciting set photos yet have finally hit the net. The newest batch reveals Charlie Cox (or his stunt double) donning the character’s beloved black suit. While the costume has been worn in quite a few circumstances, such as in the recent animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, this outfit does suggest that Daredevil: Born Again may adapt the iconic Shadowland story heading into season 2.

What Is Daredevil Shadowland?
Without going too heavily into spoilers, Shadowland is a story during which Matt Murdock takes control of The Hand and attempts to protect New York through extreme methods. While this doesn’t line-up at all with what fans have seen of Matt’s story in Daredevil: Born Again, it does align with how Kingpin’s story has been going, with set photos from the production of season 2 suggesting they may swap who exactly controls the Shadowland.
Perhaps the most interesting thing about Shadowland is that is that it comes from a storyline where Matt Murdock interacts with a ton of different heroes, with everyone from Luke Cage to Moon Knight appearing in the storyline. While there haven’t been set photos of any other heroes, it’s more likely than not some will appear in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, if this black suit speculation is correct.
