One of the most exciting aspects about Daredevil: Born Again was finally seeing Wilson Bethel fully transform into Bullseye after his character’s slow descent into supervillainy in Daredevil season 3. And with the actor officially confirmed to return for season 2 of the Disney Plus series, fans have been wondering how the iconic character will continue to evolve.
The actor spoke on his experience reprising the role of Bullseye in Daredevil: Born Again during a recent convention recorded by Nerdtropolis. Wilson Bethel teased that season 2 of the series will dive much deeper into the psychology of Dex, teasing a much more substantial role than what he had in the Disney Plus show’s freshman outing.
“There are whole new avenues of Dex’s interesting, messed-up psyche that we get to explore, and there’s some really, really fun stuff that’s on the way for Bullseye and Dex.”
Is Bullseye In Daredevil: Born Again Season 3?
Daredevil: Born Again has already been renewed for season 3 before season 2 has even hit the airwaves. This has left many to question whether or not Wilson Bethel will return once more as Bullseye, or if his story will come to an end next year. Luckily, it seems that Dex’s story in the MCU is far from being over.
“As some of you might know, we’ve already got picked up for another new season that we will start doing next year. We’ll have more Bullseye on the way and Kingpin and all the rest.”
It’ll be interesting to see how Wilson Bethel’s take on Bullseye evolves going into season 2 and especially season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again. For as prevalent as the villain is in the comics, he’s often used as a force of nature rather than a character- making this the first time true depth over a long period of time will be given to the beloved villain.
