Daredevil star Charlie Cox honored Stan Lee by attending his tribute at New York Comic Con dressed as Matt Murdock.

New York Comic Con held two different tributes to Stan Lee during this year’s convention. Stan Lee was, of course, a very prominent figure at New York Comic Con so it only makes sense that the convention would pay tribute to the iconic creator. During one of the tributes, Daredevil star Charlie Cox appeared on stage dressed as Matt Murdock. The crowd at the Stan Lee tribute was apparently very pleased with Charlie Cox’s wardrobe decision.

Charlie Cox, of course, portrayed Matt Murdock for all three seasons of Netflix’s Daredevil and the Defenders. The show was sadly canceled not long after the third season became available on Netflix. While officially the show was canceled out of a desire to end it on a high note, reports indicate that it had more to do with a desire on Netflix’s part to put more resources into its own content. This, of course, hasn’t stopped Daredevil‘s stars from trying to get the show revived. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio have all campaigned to have the show revived and have even had support from fellow Marvel stars like Tom Hiddleston. But, even if Daredevil isn’t revived, Charlie Cox was at least able to put on Matt Murdock’s outfit for one last time for a Stan Lee tribute.

What do you all think of Charlie Cox’s appearance at the Stan Lee tribute? Did you enjoy seeing him dressed up as Matt Murdock? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Here is the synopsis for the third season of Daredevil:

Daredevil season 3 stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Joanne Whalley, Jay Ali, Wilson Bethel, Stephen Rider, and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.
