‘Daredevil’ Star Vincent D’Onofrio Teases Face-Off With Tom Holland’s Spider-Man

Are we finally getting Kingpin vs Spider-Man?

Vincent D'Onofrio Tom Holland Kingpin Spider-Man

Following Matt Murdock’s appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel fans have been wondering if Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin would ever face off with Tom Holland in a future project. During a recent convention appearance, the Daredevil star teased that he’s on the hunt for Spider-Man.

With many of Spider-Man’s greatest foes having already been utilized and the fan-favorite Vincent D’Onofrio reprising his role as the Daredevil villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans are crossing their fingers for the two to meet. At a recent convention, D’Onofrio expressed his own passion for the fight with fans, assuring that Kingpin will, eventually, beat up Tom Holland:

“Eventually, I will beat Spider-Man’s a**–All of them. I mean, it’s obvious that Punisher, Daredevil, and Spider-Man are the ones that my character is tied to in the comic books,” D’Onofrio spoke at GalaxyCon. “But there’s plenty of room for others, I can just only hope that that happens. But I mean, Spider-Man definitely. I think that would be really really fun.—I want to see it as much as anybody. There may be a sea of people between us right now but I’m gonna get you mother f–ker!”

Despite being best known these days as a Daredevil villain, Wilson Fisk, also known as the Kingpin of Crime, actually started his career as a Spider-Man villain. While many of his greatest hits, such as nearly killing Aunt May, have already been utilized in Tom Holland’s trilogy, there’s still plenty of room for Vincent D’Onofrio to terrorize the character. Though given Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s credits scene teased the Venom symbiote, it is possible fans will see a Back in Black adaptation, even in the absence of Aunt May.

What’s next for Spider-Man?

What does the future hold for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker? The success of Spider-Man: No Way Home has opened up a world of possibilities for the fan-favorite Marvel character. The movie ends with Peter erasing himself from the memories of his loved ones in order to protect them from his enemies. This sets up an interesting dynamic for future Spider-Man movies, as Peter will have to navigate a world in which he is not known as Spider-Man.

Rumor has it that Tom Holland has signed on for multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe appearances after Spider-Man: No Way Home. The future of the Spider-Man series is currently unclear, but it is likely that Marvel will continue to explore the multiverse concept that was introduced in No Way Home.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available to own on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Spider-Man’s Marvel Cinematic Universe future and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
