Frank Miller’s acclaimed comic titled The Dark Knight Returns concluded with the Caped Crusader faking his own following a confrontation with Superman. However, Frank Miller revealed to a crowd at MCM London Comic Con that the original ending actually had Batman being killed in a hail of bullets during a fight with the police. However, Frank Miller explained that the story got away from him.
