DC mega villain Darkseid will, in fact, be in Zack Snyder’s upcoming cut of Justice League.
Earlier today it was confirmed that, after years of campaigning from fans and months of rumors, Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League would be seeing the light of day on HBO Max. The director’s vision for the film, however, is not complete and will cost anywhere from $20M-$30M to finish. One of these additions will be the DC Universe mega villain Darkseid.
Since Justice League was released back in 2017, the differences between Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League and what we ultimately saw in theaters have been steadily leaked out over the past couple of years. One of the big differences is that New God Darkseid apparently had a much larger role in the film. His role in Justice League was ultimately reworked for the film’s main antagonist, Steppenwolf, and the character was only briefly mentioned in the film. Now, however, the character will be reintegrated into the role that Zack Snyder originally intended for him in his cut of the film. How big of a role the character will have in this new version of Justice League is currently unknown.
What do you all make of this? Are you glad to hear that Darkseid will have a much bigger role in Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
Here’s the official synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Justice League:

But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
