According to Screen Rant, who received data from Parrot Analytics, ABC’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ is more popular than any of Marvel’s Netflix series.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is one of Marvel’s flagship series and while it doesn’t get as much hype as other Marvel series like Jessica Jones or Daredevil, it appears it does quite better with audiences than any of the other Marvel Netflix series. Parrot analytics, a data science company that measures worldwide audience demand for TV content, has They measure how viewers interact with a TV show’s brand online, taking into account everything from peer-to-peer traffic to social media activity. Through this, they believe they are able to provide the most accurate measure of audience demand. According to Parrot, the Clark Gregg led series ranges in the top 0.3% of in-demand shows worldwide which they believe is amazing. Shows on a similar level are that of Better Call Saul, Criminal Minds and Vikings.
The numbers on the Netflix series numbers are not that great and are not Marvel’s strongest brands by any means. This explains why they are beginning to cancel the shows on the streaming giant like Iron Fist and Luke Cage. This news may come as a shock to fans that assumed because of the star power and bigger budgets of the Netflix series would put S.H.I.E.L.D. to shame when it came to the numbers, but they would be wrong. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will return for its next season as Marvel’s most popular series.
