It’s been rumored that the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) would be starring in a Disney Plus series together and Stan recently had a few words to say about it.
The Disney Plus streaming service is prepping to have a pretty impressive catalog when it launches. Not only is the Star Wars series The Mandalorian releasing on the service, MCU characters Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) are also getting their own solo series. What’s interesting is that both Loki and Scarlet Witch fell victim to Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) snap at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.
Two more victims of the snap were Winter Soldier and Falcon, a duo who is now rumored to star in a Disney Plus series together. While Stan was recently on the show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he was, of course, asked about his character and the rumored series. Though Stan remained tight-lipped on the subject, he did joke that the show would be called:
To which the actor followed up with:
“I would do that. Anthony would love that.”
The series has yet to be confirmed but it wouldn’t be the first time that the duo teamed up to take down a baddie. In 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, both Winter Soldier, and Falcon had an iconic team-up during the airport fight in which they faced off against Spider-Man (Tom Holland).
Check out the full interview with Stan below. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding the Winter Soldier/Falcon series as well as the Disney Plus streaming service as soon as more information becomes available.
