Avengers star Dave Bautista transforms into Bane in a cool new fan edit for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman.
While we already know that Robert Pattinson’s The Batman will feature a number of the titular hero’s most iconic villains, many are wondering who else will show up in the highly-anticipated superhero movie. One villain that constantly gets brought up is Bane, a.k.a. the man who broke the Bat. Last month, we found out that that a Bane solo film was considered by Warner Bros. only to be shot down, which could mean the studio wants to use the character as a villain for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman universe.
There’s been one actor who fans consistently mention when the prospect of a new live-action Bane is brought up on social media, and that person is Marvel star Dave Bautista. A concept design from digital artist ‘saarukan.psd’ on Instagram shows off what the actor could look like with a comic-accurate costume as Bane, wearing his iconic mask. The artist explains they’d love to see the star physically portray the role, but also noted that CGI could be used. Obviously this could enhance his physique when the villain uses venom to pump up his body. It’d be interesting to see how Robert Pattinson’s Batman would take on Bane. Take a look at the artwork of Dave Bautista’s Bane below.
What do you think of the design showing off Dave Bautista’s Bane? Do you want to see Robert Pattinson’s Batman take on Bane in a sequel? Sound-off in the comments section!
Plot details for The Batman are being kept under lock and key but the project will be centered on Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the hero making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment to a new Batman trilogy starring Pattinson.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The Batman is currently set to hit theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding Dave Bautista, Bane and The Batman universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content.
