We haven’t heard much about Gotham City Sirens since it was announced that Suicide Squad director David Ayer would be returning to the DCEU to helm the female led villainous team-up.
Ayer is set to reteam with Margot Robbie as she reprises her role as Harley Quinn. While there haven’t been any other official casting announcements, Ayer previously teased Catwoman and Poison Ivy would be joining Quinn in the team-up film.
The script for Gotham City Sirens will be written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet. Robertson-Dworet is best known for her work on MGM’s and GK Films upcoming Tomb Raider reboot starring Alicia Vikander and Walton Goggins, as well as Sherlock Holmes 3.
DC chief creative officer Geoff Johns and Justice League producer Jon Berg will produce Gotham City Sirens along with Ayer with Margot Robbie executive producing the film. Robbie’s role as exec producer comes as part of a first-look deal she struck after Suicide Squad to develop and produce three feature films at Warner Bros. through her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment.
As of now, Gotham City Sirens does not have a release date.
