The Politician star David Corenswet suits up in classic Christopher Reeve Superman costume to replace Henry Cavill in this incredible concept design.

With no new updates on whether or not Justice League star Henry Cavill will ever don the Superman suit again for Warner Bros. and DC, fans have started to recast the role with some of their favorite stars. This impressive concept design pictures The Politician star David Corenswet as Superman with an updated version of the costume worn by Christopher Reeve. Instantly, it’s definitely clear as to why the artist chose David Corenswet as their choice for the new Superman in the DCEU.

Digital artist “multiperplex” took to Instagram to explain that David Corenswet would be the perfect actor to replace Henry Cavill as the DCEU’s Kal-El, as he previously expressed his interest in playing Superman. There’s also his uncanny likeness to the DC Comics icon . In the concept design, David Corenswet’s Superman suit has a few more details than the original Christopher Reeve version, with an outline around the symbol on his chest and his shoulders.
