‘Superman: Legacy’: New Photo Shows David Corenswet Bulked Up Ahead Of DCU Debut

The Man of Steel!

David Corenswet Superman Legacy

David Corenswet is officially set to take over as the Man of Steel in Superman: Legacy for DC Studios. New images of the actor reveal a surprising amount of bulk for the role.

David Corenswet certainly has some big shoes to fill, literally and figuratively, following his casting as the Blue Boy Scout in Superman: Legacy. However, it certainly seems as though he’s taking his role as the new face of DC Studios seriously. Corenswet was recently spotted in images for an upcoming documentary about the work of artist Jon Schueler, a project on which he serves as cinematographer, where he’s seen as buffed up for his upcoming DC Comics role.

While cameras certainly can be heavy, it’s clear David Corenswet has been putting in the work to bulk up for Superman: Legacy. The future of not just Superman but DC Studios as a whole seems to be riding on the shoulders of this one film. Luckily, it seems as though Corenswet has traps for days.

David Corenswet has been steadily making a name for himself in the entertainment industry with his impressive performances in various projects. He gained significant recognition for his roles in the hit Netflix series The Politician and the slasher movie Pearl.

Superman’s DC Universe Future

Superman: Legacy is a much-anticipated project, given that Clark Kent has been an integral part of the DC Universe for over 80 years, with various iterations and adaptations across different media. The movie promises to explore the character’s origins and his struggles to balance his dual identities as Clark Kent and Superman while fighting off villains and saving the world.

James Gunn and Peter Safran told journalists that their vision for the DC Universe includes locked scripts, wiggle room, and a unified storyline across film, television, animation, and video game projects. The two explained that the DC Universe could bring back elements from previous DC regimes, meaning that their eight-to-year plan is not a full reboot.
