David Harbour is rocking the spandex! The Thunderbolts star revealed a new suit for Red Guardian during his appearance at Marvel’s San Diego Comic-Con panel.
Marvel fans have been cautiously skeptic about Thunderbolts. It’s certainly an odd film. However, one fo the parts the internet has been most excited for is the return of David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov, aka the Red Guardian.
Fans aren’t the only ones excited, though! David Harbour was so hyped about his return to the Marvel universe that he showed up to the San Diego Comic-Con panel for Thunderbolts in his new suit! While a funny joke during an exciting night, fans have now had the chance to analyze the Red Guardian’s new drip for the upcoming film.
How Red Guardian’s Suit Changed For His Marvel Return
It’s clear that Marvel wanted an almost complete overhaul of the Red Guardian’s suit for Thunderbolts. While David Harbour still maintains a star on his costume, everything else is completely different. The suit now has a gold trim instead of white, and the pattern on the front has changed entirely from Black Widow.
The biggest thing this means is that Red Guardian is still active enough prior to the events of Thunderbolts to have made a new suit. After all, it’s not like the American government would make a costume with the color scheme of the USSR! Given how comfortable David Harbour looks in the outfit, it’s also likely he wears it for at least a decent amount of screentime.
