David Koepp has shared his original scripts for Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2, which featured Gwen Stacy, Eddie Brock and more fan-favorite characters.

Spider-Man 2 is still considered one of the best comic book films of all-time, despite the franchise having a couple reboots that have followed since. David Koepp, who is best known for being behind the scripts for films like Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, was also responsible for Sam Raimi’s first Spider-Man film.

After Spider-Man‘s massive success in 2002, David Koepp was hired to write the sequel. Sam Raimi ended up going in a different direction with Michael Chabon and Alvin Sargent taking over scripting duties and the rest is history. Almost 20 years later, Koepp recently opened up about his original plans for the trilogy and has now shared the four drafts he wrote on his website. Koepp’s script refers to the sequel as Amazing Spider-Man and still features Doctor Octopus as the villain, but he has a connection to Peter Parker’s parents similar to what the 2012 reboot did with The Lizard. Koepp’s script also includes Peter dating Gwen Stacy, the death of Captain Stacy, Harry Osborn and J. Jonah Jameson offering a $10 million prize for Spider-Man’s identify, and a brief cameo appearance made by Eddie Brock.
