James Wan’s upcoming swash-buckling action adventure featuring the King of Atlantis is set to open early for fans overseas as Aquaman will release in China one week ahead of its domestic debut.
According to Deadline, Warner Bros. has scheduled Aquaman to hit theaters in China on December 7, 2018. Aquaman follows Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry as he goes up against both his half-brother Orm (Patrick Wilson) — who is ready to wage a war on the surface world — while on a journey to accepting his role as the King of Atlantis.
Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm / Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Ludi Lin as Captain Murk, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.
