One week before its release, Marvel released the final trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine. This latest preview focuses heavily on Hugh Jackman’s portrayal of Wolverine and features Dafne Keen returning as X-23, seven years after her appearance in Logan.
In addition, the trailer introduces Lady Deadpool, appearing for the first time as part of the Deadpool Corps. Marvel has not disclosed the actress behind Lady Deadpool, leaving fans to speculate about her identity.
Deadpool and Wolverine is poised to make a major impact at the box office, with projections indicating an opening north of $200 million in North America. Theher stands out as the only Marvel movie of the year that isn’t produced by Sony, such as the upcoming Venom: The Last Dance.
What to expect from Deadpool and Wolverine
In line with the first two films, Deadpool and Wolverine is officially rated R. However, some industry observers speculate that the R-rating might lead to overly optimistic tracking numbers, something we won’t know for sure until the Marvel movie arrives in theaters.
Deadpool and Wolverine represents a significant addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the first film to incorporate members of the X-Men post-Disney’s acquisition of Fox. Ryan Reynolds returns as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, alongside Hugh Jackman who reprises his role as Wolverine. New to the MCU, Emma Corrin appears as the villainous Cassandra Nova, as Matthew Macfadyen steps in as Paradox, a Time Variance Authority agent.
Joining them are returning actors from the Deadpool series including Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Rob Delaney as Peter, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, and Karan Soni as Dopinder. Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapičić, Shioli Kutsuna, Randal Reeder, and Lewis Tan also reprise their roles. Additional returning actors from Fox’s Marvel films include Aaron Stanford as Pyro, Tyler Mane as Sabretooth, and Jennifer Garner as Elektra.
