Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld shared his predictions on the Merc with a Mouth’s Cinematic future after the deal between Disney and 21st Century Fox closes.
Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox’s entertainment assets is set to close next week and while most fans are excited to see what the future holds for the MCU after Marvel regains the film rights to the X-Men and Fantastic Four, others are concerned that family-friendly Disney brand will prevent future Deadpool movies from retaining their R-rated content. However, while noting that he has not been invited to meetings on the matter, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld predicted that the Disney will use the Regenerating Degenerate in both PG-13 and R-rated projects:
“I believe Deadpool’s future is BRIGHT. If I had to predict, venture a GUESS, just a guess…DP will appear in pg-13 Marvel films on a limited basis, interacting with Marvel pals while retaining his own R rated film franchise releases under the Fox banner. Those shenanigans with Vanessa can’t be released under that Disney Castle banner, y’know?? We will all find out soon enough. A 10 year old Deadpool action figure was the best selling single toy of 2018 for Marvel. You can’t make this stuff up! DP for life or longer!!

After the mid-credits scene for Ant-Man and the Wasp, many were theorizing that the Avengers would have to rescue Scott Lang from the Quantum Realm and subsequently use the alternate dimension to travel back in time to defeat Thanos. While it appears Scott Lang managed to escape on his own, he may have brought the van containing the way to the Quantum Realm to the Avengers’ front door.
