Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld insists Deadpool 3 will happen with the upcoming Disney-Fox merger.
The future of Deadpool 3 is in doubt with Disney accusation of Fox. Disney chairman Bob Iger has said in the past the studio has plans for the popular Marvel character. Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios will retain the rights to Deadpool, X-Men, and the Fantastic Four once the deal finally goes through this year.
Rumors have been circulating that X-Force and Deadpool 3 have been canceled but creator Rob Liefield claimed on Twitter the sequel is still happening:
Nothing like deadlines to clear your head… let me be clear Deadpool 3 will happen, some form, some fashion. That’s not a concern to me. Disney paid $60 billion for Fox and Deadpool is most valuable asset in today’s market. Makes more than X-Men films.
