During an interview with ComicBook.com, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige addressed the rumor claiming Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool could make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in the next Spider-Man film.

With the 20th Century Fox era of X-Men films essentially over, fans are eager to see what Kevin Feige has planned for the team of mutants and the rest of the heroes now under Marvel Studios’ control. The role of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is of particular interest to fans due to the character’s notoriously crude sense of humor being perceived as a difficult fit for Disney’s family-friendly brand.

Nonetheless, a recent rumor claimed Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool could make his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the next Spider-Man or a Disney+ series. However, Kevin Feige debunked the Deadpool rumor while confirming conversations about how to introduce the Fox characters are currently taking place:

“No I mean we’re certainly having conversations about the future of all of those Fox properties. How to weave them in and when to weave them in. That one, in particular, is not the case.”
