Is Deadpool the secret key to Avengers: Doomsday? The Merc with a Mouth’s role has been revealed in a very interesting rumor.
While Deadpool isn’t confirmed to be in Avengers: Doomsday, it’s all but confirmed that he’ll play a role in the film. From the rumor mill teasing his presence to Ryan Reynolds himself suggesting some level of involvement with the film, all signs point to everyone’s favorite Foul-Mouthed Mutant finally going toe-to-toe with the Avengers.
And “toe-to-toe” may be exactly what fans see. A rumor from MyTimeToShineHello seems to reveal what role the anti-hero will play in Avengers: Doomsday. According to the scooper, Deadpool may actually end up fighting the Avengers, teaming up with the X-Men to fend the Fantastic Four and the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes off.

The Conflicting Reports Of Deadpool
This rumor is interesting, as it actually goes against prior reports about the role Deadpool will play in Avengers: Doomsday. A rumor from earlier this year suggested that the Merc with a Mouth would actually form his own team, suggesting that he would play a much bigger part in the project’s story than this rumor entails.
Of course, it’s possible that either rumor is entirely off base with the role the character will play. Knowing Deadpool’s history, it’s possible that the character bounces around storylines to get the most screentime possible. It’s also entirely possible that he only has a small cameo in Avengers: Doomsday, setting up for a larger role in Secret Wars.
