Do fans finally know the villain of Clayface? A quickly deleted BTS photo from Tom Rhys Harries may have revealed more than it intended to show.
With Clayface officially wrapping production, Tom Rhys Harries has posted a number of BTS photos on social media in celebration. These pictures all seem to come from the actor’s trailer, which have had a number of cryptic phrases scrawled on the walls. These range from poems, platitudes, and other general sayings seemingly written in the voice of Matt Hagan.
However, the most recent BTS photo posted by Tom Rhys Harries was deleted not long after it was initially posted. This has led to a number of internet sleuths taking a second look over the image to try to identify what spoilers may have caused the picture to be taken down. And by our analysis, it seems as though it may have spoiled the true villain of Clayface.

Who Is The Villain Of Clayface?
The specific part to note in this BTS image is the phrase “Jimmy is the lead man”. Some viewed this scrawling as Matt Hagan lamenting losing out on an acting role to someone named Jimmy. However, it may have been Tom Rhys Harries accidentally spoiling the film’s villain- as Jimmy “Red” McCoy is a Gotham City Mobster, and the only other comic character confirmed to appear in Clayface.
As for what the line mean, there’s two possibilities. The first is that Jimmy McCoy is the one taking action in a plan, suggesting that he does something that directly effects Matt Hagan. The second is that Jimmy McCoy is the one orchestrating a plan, with Tom Rhys Harries deleting the BTS photo since it reveals a late in the game twist for Clayface.
Clayface is set to release September 11th, 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
