Spider-Man and Daredevil may finally team up! A rumor suggests that Marvel may adapt Devil’s Reign as an avenue to cross over their street level heroes.

Over the past few years, Marvel has been teasing a universe-spanning event centered around Kingpin. The villain has appeared as the villain for multiple heroes, including Daredevil, Hawkeye, and even Echo. And given his current ploy for Mayor of New York, the assumption is that an adaptation of Devil’s Reign may be just around the corner.

And it seems as though fans may have gotten the jump on Marvel Studios when it comes to this idea! A rumor suggests that Marvel is, in fact, planning to adapt the Devil’s Reign storyline. However, what fans weren’t able to guess is that the storyline would actually culminate in a movie, bringing heroes like Daredevil to the silver screen.

“I have heard the idea thrown around for the upcoming saga to feature a crossover team-up film that would serve as the epilogue of the Devil’s Reign storyline that technically started all the way back in Hawkeye with the appearance of Wilson Fisk,” Alex Perez writes for The Cosmic Circus. “The idea would be to feature street-level heroes from NYC affected by Fisk’s reign of terror against vigilantes, and we would see the likes of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Punisher, and more team up to take down Wilson Fisk and his enforcers in a final bout against the regime.”

Spider-Man Swings Into Devils Reign

However, it seems as though there may be bigger plans than just to unite the street level heroes when it comes to Devil’s Reign. The rumor continues on to state that the project may be the main vector for Spider-Man to interact with heroes such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist, teasing that the film may serve as one of the studio’s tentpole projects.

“And that said, film is the current path for Spider-Man to be able to appear alongside these heroes. This is apparently one of the plans they have in motion to try and get these heroes to appear together.”

Fans shouldn’t count their chickens before they hatch, however. Marvel has had a spotty history of putting out crossover films that aren’t in the Avengers franchise (looking at you Midnight Sons). However, given the Devil’s Reign storyline is already in progress, it’s certain that Daredevil and Spider-Man will cross over SOMEHOW.

Daredevil: Born Again is now streaming on Disney Plus, with season 2 set to release in March 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
