One of the most anticipated films in Marvel Studios’ upcoming cinematic slate, the Doctor Strange sequel is set to practically change how we view the multiverse. While details are slim on just how Doctor Strange ends up dealing with the madness of it all, it’s clear that strange things are afoot after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which directly segues into the sequel.

Joining Doctor Strange for his second solo outing is the Sorcerer Supreme Wong and former Avenger Scarlet Witch, who was last seen controlling an entire town in WandaVision. Newcomer America Chavez is also set to join the trio through their multidimensional romp. Trailers and reports have indicated that America Chavez will play a pivotal role in Doctor Strange’s quest to control the chaos of the multiverse.

New promo art for the upcoming sequel shows America Chavez ready to jump in on the action. The character’s comic book powers see her being able to punch holes through reality. America Chavez’s pose for the promo art indicates that she still holds the same powers, which should hopefully come in handy for Doctor Strange’s mission.

Benedict Cumberbatch last appeared as Doctor Strange in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Here is the synopsis:

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx, with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now playing in theaters. Meanwhile, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opens in theaters on May 6, 2022. Stay tuned for all the future of the MCU,  and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
