Don Cheadle On War Machine’s MCU Future After ‘Avengers: Endgame’

Secret Invasion Avengers Endgame Iron Man Don Cheadle War Machine Falcon Winter Soldier

Don Cheadle opened up on what might be in store for War Machine in the MCU after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Don Cheadle has been a part of the MCU ever since he replaced Terence Howard as James “Rhodey” Rhodes in Iron Man 2. Don Cheadle’s War Machine is also a surviving hero after Avengers Endgame. So far, it’s unclear where Don Cheadle’s War Machine will turn up next in the MCU. At the winter TCA press tour, Don Cheadle teased where we might see War Machine go next:

“If there were to be one, I’d really want to dig into him and maybe even find something that felt closer to the first Iron Man for who he was. I think they can go anywhere with him now.”

There have also been rumors that War Machine might be getting his own Disney Plus series, but Don Cheadle doesn’t seem to be aware of any plans for a solo series:

“I really don’t know. I haven’t given it much thought as far as which would be or if either would even be. That was an 11 year journey.”
