New ‘Stargirl’ Image Offers First Look At Dragon King In The DC Series

Stargirl DC Dragon King

A brand new shot from DC’s Stargirl reveals the villain Dragon King, as the series continues to introduce threats in Blue Valley.

DC’s Stargirl hasn’t been afraid to lean heavily into its Justice Society of America roots as Courtney Whitmore picks up the Cosmic Staff to herald in a new era of heroes. While the most recent episode teased the introduction of a Green Lantern on the series, we now know that the intimidating villain Dragon King will arrive in Stargirl‘s fourth episode, titled “Wildcat.” The episode will introduce Nelson Lee as Dr. Ito, also known as Dragon King.

Stargirl fans got their first look at Dragon King when ComicBook.com revealed the look at the villain’s costume yesterday. The Dragon King design perfectly captures the spirit of the comics, although it does look a little goofy in live-action. Dr. Ito experimented on himself in the source material and became a lizard/human hybrid. It’s something we’re likely going to see in the series since it looks like he’s covered in scales underneath the hood. Take a look at the villain on DC’s Stargirl below.

Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore, Joel McHale as Starman, Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan, and Meg DeLacy as Cindy Burman. The series also stars Amy Smart, Trae Romano, Cameron Gellman, Yvette Monreal, Anjelika Washington, Meg DeLacy, Neil Jackson, Jake Austin Walker, Christopher James Baker, and Hunter Sansone. Geoff Johns will write and executive produce the 13-episode first season while Sarah Schechter and Arrowverse boss Greg Berlanti will also serve as executive producers on the series.
