Dwayne Johnson shared some new behind-the-scenes photos from his upcoming DC Extended Universe film, Black Adam.
With just a few days before the highly-anticipated trailer premiere for Black Adam, Dwayne Johnson is already building up hype on his social media. The upcoming DC Extended Universe film, which has been many years in the making for the film’s star and producer, looks to further expand the franchise and alter the power hierarchy.
In his latest post on social media, Dwayne Johnson shared three new Black Adam set photos of himself getting directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. These new photos showcase him donning the suit, along with his hood, looking as physically intimidating as ever as DC’s legendary antihero.
Black Adam has arrived.
For many years, Dwayne Johnson has been attached to the role of Black Adam for DC. There were initially plans to have the character appear in Shazam!, before it was ultimately decided to split the characters into their own movies to further expand their origins. Based on these behind-the-scenes set photos, it appears that Zachary Levi’s original Captain Marvel will have a bit of a rough battle in the future when he eventually faces off against The Rock’s Man in Black.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson as the titular antihero, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, and Bodhi Sabongui are also on board in undisclosed roles.
Black Adam will hit theaters on October 22nd, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the upcoming DC film, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
