Shazam! director David F. Sandberg responded to an internet troll with this “design” of Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam suit.
Last Friday, Dwayne Johnson surprised many by offering the first look at his Black Adam suit in a lengthy social media post. The Black Adam concept art was done by BossLogic and famous DC comics artist Jim Lee and revealed the film’s release date. Before Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam takes on Shazam! he will reportedly face Hawkman first in his own solo film.
Fans across the internet were loving the concept art of Dwayne Johnson suited up as Black Adam. While Shazam! was well received, one criticism was Zachary Levi’s Shazam! suit. An internet troll brought the subject up to Shazam! director David F. Sandberg on Twitter, who responded with his own hilarious design of Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam.
WELL TOO BAD SUCKER, CAUSE MY DESIGN HAS ALREADY BEEN APPROVED!! https://t.co/I362q6EC4y pic.twitter.com/OS6kSMPnBn

Warner Bros. and DC’s Shazam! was originally going to feature Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam before the decision was made to give the character his own standalone movie. Here’s the official synopsis for the Shazam! movie.
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).
Shazam! is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam hits theaters December 12, 2021.
