It's all love!

Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson has commented on DC’s impressive box office haul with The Batman!

After years of anticipation, Robert Pattinson’s DC debut as The Batman was met to both critical and commercial acclaim, solidifying its position as one of the biggest films of the year. Over the weekend the film managed to rack up over $128 million domestically, which all but confirms DC’s continuing success. While The Batman may not be connected to the larger DC Extended Universe, Robert Pattinson’s first stint as the Caped Crusader is being praised by a fellow superhero.

Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson took to Twitter to praise Matt Reeves’ vision for The Caped Crusader. The wrestler-turned-actor also commented on the DC film’s whopping box office haul and how it bodes well for theatres.

Dwayne Johnson is set to make his DC debut later this year with Black Adam, a film that has been gestating for nearly a decade. Details are slim on the film, though we should expect a trailer soon as the film is on track to launch this summer. Black Adam is set within the DC Extended Universe, which means the character can potentially crossover with the likes of The Flash and Aquaman – two heroes who are set to receive their own films later this year.

Here is the synopsis for Dwayne Johnson’s DC Extended Universe debut:

“Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods – and imprisoned just as quickly – Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.”

In addition to Dwayne Johnson, DC’s Black Adam stars Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, and Bodhi Sabongui are also on board in undisclosed roles. Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions are producing the movie with Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo. FlynnPictureCo’s Scott Sheldon serves as an executive producer.

Black Adam is set to hit theaters on July 29, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the highly-anticipated Dwayne Johnson DC Film, as well as Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original content.
