Dwayne Johnson offered fans an update on Kevin Hart’s condition after the car accident.
Last week, Jumani: The Next Level star Kevin Hart was in a car accident while sitting in the passenger’s seat and sustained injuries that required major back surgery. While the procedure was a success, Kevin Hart will require weeks of physical therapy as part of the recovery process.
The accident forced Kevin Hart to miss his appearance on the debut episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, but his Jumanji: The Next Level co-star Dwayne Johnson stepped in to fill the void. During his appearance, Dwayne Johnson offered audiences an update on Kevin Hart with good humor:
“Everything is good. I spoke with Kevin. […] I connected with him today and you know what? These things happen in life. Thankfully, he was strapped in nicely to his car seat. I’m only kidding. […] We spoke to pediatrician and he said…He’s doing very well.”
On a more serious note, Dwayne Johnson commented on how much worse Kevin Hart’s accident could have been, saying, “Thank god, it could have been a lot worse. So, he’s a lucky man.”
Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart will reunite on the screen when Jumanji: The Next Level hits theaters this holiday season.
In Jumanji: The Next Level, the gang is back but the game has changed. As they return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own, they discover that nothing is as they expect. The players will have to brave parts unknown and unexplored, from the arid deserts to the snowy mountains, in order to escape the world’s most dangerous game.
Directed by Jake Kasdan from a script he co-wrote with Jake Kasdan & Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg, Jumanji: The Next Level stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Alex Wolff, with Danny Glover and Danny DeVito.
