The Rotten Tomatoes score for Echo has finally been revealed! Did Disney Plus’ first Marvel Spotlight series live up to the hype?

Echo was sold to fans as a true return to the form of Marvel’s Netflix series thanks to the new Marvel Spotlight banner, allowing the series to take a much more mature tone than any prior comic book series on Disney Plus. It seems the MCU’s latest gamble has paid off, with the series receiving a 73% Critics Score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 76% Audience Score.

Before debuting, rumors swirled that Echo was Marvel’s next big Disney Plus failure, with sources claiming Kevin Feige deemed it ‘unreleasable’ prior to their latest round of reshoots. It seems those rumors were all smoke and no fire, with fans proving their passion for the cultural love and brutal violence displayed by the series.

Where Echo lies within the MCU

Alaqua Cox’s Hawkeye spinoff series is the tenth overall original Marvel Studios series for Disney Plus. It’s also one of two live-action spin-offs from a previous series — the other being the WandaVision offshoot Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

Serving as executive producers on Echo are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Stephen Broussard, Richie Palmer, Marion Dayre, and Jason Gavin, while Amy Rardin, Sydney Freeland, Christina King, and Jennifer Booth serve as co-executive producers.
