Eiza Gonzalez Dons Awesome Catwoman Costume For Halloween

Baby Driver star Eiza Gonzalez decided to dress as DC’s Catwoman for this year’s Halloween and it’s so perfect that you may have to convince yourself it’s not straight from the Birds of Prey set.

It’s the weekend before Halloween, which means that many of the Halloween parties took place this previous Friday and Saturday, given that this year’s Halloween lands on a Wednesday. To celebrate the spooky holiday season, actress Eiza Gonzalez decided to wear a Catwoman costume and it’s not just one you buy at the Halloween store, it’s a suit that looks like it came straight from a comic book panel.

Lots of people dress up as comic book characters for the Halloween season but what makes this particular costume so interesting is that Gonzalez has been a fan-favorite choice to play Catwoman ever since the rumors started that the character would be appearing in the upcoming Birds of Prey movie. Check out the awesome costume via the actress’ Instagram page below.

Many names have been thrown around as being a great choice to play Catwoman, aka Selina Kyle, but after seeing this image it may be hard for some to consider anyone else but Gonzalez in the role. The last time the character appeared on the big screen was in 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises, played by Anne Hathaway. Director Christopher Nolan put his own spin on the iconic DC character but it still felt more like the comic book character than 2004’s Catwoman starring Oscar-winner Halle Berry as Patience Phillips, a character created specifically for the movie.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Catwoman, Birds of Prey, and the entire DC Extended Universe as soon as more information becomes available. Do you feel that Gonzalez is a good choice for the role? If not, then who would you like to see play character? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

Directed by Cathy Yan with a script penned by Bumblebee writer Christina Hodson, the film stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, and Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya. Production on the project is expected to begin this January.

DC’s Birds of Prey film will be released in theaters on February 7, 2020.
