It’s been heavily speculated that Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra in Deadpool 3. The actress finally speaks on the pervasive rumor in an interview.
Deadpool 3 is truly shaping up to be the “who’s who” of Fox’s Marvel universes, with multiple key players from the X-Men universe rumored to return alongside Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Perhaps the most interesting rumor is that Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra from the eponymous 2004 project. However, when asked, Garner seemingly had no idea if she would suit up as the Marvel character again.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. What could you mean?” Jennifer Garner recently told Collider. “Not that I’m aware of.”
Of course, even if Jennifer Garner were to return as Elektra in Deadpool 3, it’s certain that she wouldn’t be able to discuss the role due to the dozens of contracts actors have to sign when they join a Marvel project. It seems as though fans will have to wait and see if the rumor comes true, or if Garner will be left out of the Fox reunion!

Shawn Levy is directing Deadpool 3 after working with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. The upcoming Marvel Studios project also marks a reunion between Levy and Hugh Jackman as the two worked together on Real Steel.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are developing the Deadpool 3 script after penning the first two installments in the series. The Molyneux sisters worked on a previous draft of the project.
