Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany’s WandaVision is expected to resume filming this July despite wrapping production back in March.
The upcoming Marvel Studios series WandaVision was one of the few projects that managed to wrap production before the coronavirus outbreak brought the film and TV industry to a standstill. However, a recent report suggests that WandaVision may not be done shooting yet.
A new Facebook post by the Tampa Bay Comic Convention has revealed that WandaVision star Paul Bettany won’t be able to make it to the event due to scheduling conflicts with the Disney Plus series. According to the announcement, Bettany has to shoot more scenes for WandaVision in Los Angeles. Filming is set to take place this July. Here’s the full announcement:
“We finally received word from Paul Bettany’s representation, and unfortunately Paul had to cancel his appearance at TBCC this year due being called back by Disney for WandaVision filming in July, in Los Angeles. We’re working on guest additions!“
Earlier this week, a report claimed that X-Men star Evan Peters has joined the highly-anticipated Marvel Studios series in a mystery role. Details on the series are slim, and Marvel has yet to confirm if Peters has actually boarded the series.
Here is the official synopsis for WandaVision:
Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision” blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.
Directed by Matt Shakman with Jac Schaeffer as head writer, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, and Kathryn Hahn in an undisclosed role.
WandaVision will debut in December 2020. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest updates on WandaVision, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany and future Disney Plus shows and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more content.
