The Flash star Ezra Miller is seeking treatment for “complex mental health issues” following years of bad behavior in the public eye.
In what has been an ongoing story for the past couple of years, Ezra Miller has finally come out and addressed the recent legal trouble and allegations they have faced. Miller’s erratic behavior began in 2020 after the actor was seen choking someone in 2020. That video was followed by two arrests in Hawaii, accusations of grooming, and a recent charge for burglary.
Ezra Miller Seeking Treatment For Mental Health
After years of legal trouble and other allegations attached to Ezra Miller, The Flash actor is seeking treatment and finally released a statement to Variety addressing their behavior:
“Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment. I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”
Ezra Miller’s past incidents have stirred up into a PR nightmare for Warner Bros., who are reportedly considering three options for The Flash. One option includes scrapping the $200 million film, while others picture a release with limited to no press for Miller. Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav recently praised The Flash and suggested the film wouldn’t suffer the same fate as Batgirl.
Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash is inspired by the Flashpoint comic book storyline, which followed Barry Allen as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles.
In addition to Ezra Miller, The Flash also features Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as two separate versions of Batman, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Antje Traue as Faora-Ul and Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Rudy Mancuso, and Luke Brandon Field are also on board in undisclosed roles.
The Flash is currently set for release on June 23, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the Ezra Miller film, and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
