New photos from the set of Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier appear to show Captain America in action.
After Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame concluded with Sam Wilson accepting the title of Captain America from a retiring Steve Rogers, most assumed the upcoming series titled The Falcon and The Winter Soldier would follow his exploits as the new Star-Spangled hero. However, it appears the United States government may have an alternate plan in a mind, as set photos have indicated that Wyatt Russell’s John Walker will become a government-appointed Captain America on the series.
Now, new photos from the set of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier appear to give fans a glimpse at the crew setting up a scene involving the new Captain America. While full details on the scene are unknown at this point, one of the two photos appears to show Wyatt Russell’s Captain America grabbing the hero’s shield.

Following the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.”
Directed by Kari Skogland from scripts written by showrunner Malcolm Spellman and Derek Kolstad, the series stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker / U.S. Agent. Actors Desmond Chiam, Miki Ishikawa, Noah Mills, and Carl Lumbly have also been cast.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will premiere exclusively on Disney Plus in August 2020.
