Jared Leto’s take on the Joker has been a divisive one since the first promo picture featuring his look for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad was shown to fans around the world.
Since the film’s release some fans have wondered what the character could have looked like if he had some minor or big changes to his look from the film. Well, recently reddit user TheLoneWastelander created some fan art for Jared Leto’s Joker.
FANART: My interpretation of a younger (first appearance to be specific) DCEU Joker. Modeled after Jared Leto, of course from DC_Cinematic
As you can see Joker is not sporting the infamous tattoos as Jared Leto did in the film. TheLoneWastelander describes this Joker as a younger version of Jared Leto’s take with some influences from a comic book storyline.
In this case, the fan art is using some artistic details of the Joker from The New 52 comic book storyline. The body type seems to match that of the Joker in most Batman comics from The New 52. The fan art also displays the Joker with no grill and a simple purple trench coat. In 2016’s Suicice Squad, the Joker seemed to be goin for a very flashy look, but this look is more simple that maintains comic book Joker’s fashion.
What do you think of the artwork? Do you hope to see more of Jared Leto as the Joker? Share your thoughts below!
