The first reactions to Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore have surfaced the internet.
The reception to the Harry Potter prequel series Fantastic Beasts has been mixed. While the first film received mostly positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, the second film, The Crimes of Grindelwald, was heavily criticized and received the lowest reception of any film in the franchise. With The Secrets of Dumbledore less than two weeks away from premiering in theaters, some are curious to see if the third entry in this Wizarding World prequel series is a step in the right direction.

Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?
Directed by David Yates from a screenplay written by J.K. Rowling and Steve Kloves, the film stars Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, Katherine Waterston, and Mads Mikkelsen.
