Is Thunderbolts actually going to be peak? The final trailer for the upcoming blockbuster has some fans thinking that Marvel is officially back.
Marvel has been pressing hard on the gas pedal to promote Thunderbolts. With the film only a few weeks from release, it seems as though the studio truly believes they have the MCU’s next big hit in their hands. No longer are they hiding The Void’s villainous role, or even the fact that a certain team member will likely die. And it shows in the final trailer for the film.
Thunderbolts pulls out all the stops in its final trailer. Not only is it darker than any other footage shown off by Marvel prior, but it all but reveals how the film will end. Fans see Yelena Belova walk into The Void itself. This, pieced together with scenes of her seemingly traveling through her own memories and past events of the MCU, suggest that the most unlikely hero team will defeat Sentry by using the power of group therapy.
The Thunderbolts Unite In A New Poster
However, the film’s final trailer isn’t the only thing that Marvel put out to promote Thunderbolts this week. The studio also dropped a brand new poster for the upcoming film. It seems to reveal why the MCU’s upcoming film has an asterisk in the title, with the team inhabiting one prong each of the symbol to come together in the center.

While the final trailer hasn’t sold fans any more than any prior trailer released for the Thunderbolts, it more serves as a show of confidence by Marvel. Releasing such a revealing trailer nearly a month before release, and putting the review embargo a whole week before, suggests that the studio isn’t worried about how the MCU’s current reputation will affect reviews. In fact, it seems they’re counting that the films stark tone will be enough to strike a cord with critics.
Thunderbolts is currently set to hit theaters on May 2, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
