Jon Bernthal is officially back as The Punisher! Set photos reveal fans’ first look at the upcoming Special Presentation Marvel is cooking up for Disney Plus.
Fans were ecstatic when Jon Bernthal officially made his return as The Punisher in Daredevil: Born Again. However, as the series drew to a close, fans realized that his appearance only made funs hungrier to see the anti-hero make a proper return on Disney Plus. While there were some doubts of him getting his own series, hopes were high he’d appear somewhere else before season 2 of the highly-coveted show released.
Fans did get their wish- though perhaps the outcome was even better than expected. Earlier this year it was confirmed that Jon Bernthal would be reprising his role as The Punisher in a special presentation due out on Disney Plus next year. While details about the project were sparse, fans didn’t care as long as they got more Frank Castle in their lives.
The First Set Photos From The Punisher Special
Production on the special presentation finally seems to be ramping up. Set photos from Just Jared have officially made their way online, giving fans their first look at The Punisher’s return. In truth, not much is revealed. However, seeing Jon Bernthal continuing to rock his beard as the character suggests that he may be on the run from the police once more.

With The Punisher’s special presentation likely set before Daredevil: Born Again season 2, it’s likely that the project will show Jon Bernthal’s hero coming to blow with Kingpin’s anti-vigilante task force. Given that, the main villain of the Disney Plus special remains unclear, though will likely be some minor villain with a connection to Kingpin.
