Frank Grillo is pumping that iron once more! The Man of Tomorrow star is getting back into shape ahead of his return as Rick Flag Sr.
For better and worse, superhero films have become synonymous with jacked bodies, bulging biceps, and rippling abs. It was one of the most popular topics of discussion leading up to Superman. And, with filming on Man of Tomorrow just around the corner, there will likely be plenty of workout reports from the film’s cast. The first of which seems to come from Rick Flag Sr. actor Frank Grillo.
Frank Grillo recently took to his Instagram to hype up his return to the set of the DC Universe with Man of Tomorrow. The actor posted a picture of him shirtless with the caption “Time to get into fight shape,” suggesting that Rick Flag Sr. may get into a tussle or two in the upcoming film.

Frank Grillo’s Role In Man Of Tomorrow
Frank Grillo himself has said that Rick Flag Sr. would play a “big role” in Man of Tomorrow. Though, given the project hasn’t started filming yet, fans are truly shooting in the dark as to what the role could be. Most likely, Flag will be continuing his plan for Salvation and pushing forward the DC Universe’s broader storyline in the movie’s B-plot.
As for who Rick Flag Sr. would be fighting in Man of Tomorrow, it likely won’t be Peacemaker. It wouldn’t make sense to continue such a major cliffhanger in an unrelated movie, and there’s no sign of John Cena making his return as filming nears. Though given Brainiac will be the leading villain of this DC Universe project, it’s more likely than not that Frank Grillo will fight someone in the supporting cast.
