Mindhunter and Frozen II star Jonathan Groff has joined the cast of Keanu Reeves’ The Matrix 4.

The Matrix film series is set to continue with a fourth entry helmed by original co-creator Lana Wachowski and starring Keanu Reeves as Neo. Now, Collider reports Frozen II star Jonathan Groff has signed on the join Keanu Reeves’ in The Matrix 4.

Unfortunately, details on Jonathan Groff’s role in The Matrix 4 are currently being kept under wraps. In addition to his roles as Kristoff in the Frozen films and agent Holden Ford in Netflix’s Mindhunter, Jonathan Groff is also known for appearing in American Sniper, Glee, and stage productions such as Hamilton and Little Shop of Horrors.

The Matrix and its two sequels collectively earned a total of $1.6 billion at the worldwide box office. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss portrayed Neo and Trinity, respectively, in all three chapters of the Matrix film series, each of which were directed by Lana and Lilly Wachowski.

Directed by Lana Wachowski from a script she co-wrote with Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchel, The Matrix 4 stars Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Neil Patrick Harris. Iron Fist star Jessica Henwick was recently reported to be in talks for a lead role. Production on Keanu Reeves’ The Matrix 4 is reportedly eyeing an early 2020 start date with Lana Wachowski also serving as a producer alongside Grant Hill.
