Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actor Gabriel Luna will reprise his role as Ghost Rider for Hulu’s newly-announced live-action series based on the iconic Marvel Comics character.
Earlier today, Marvel Television announced that it’s teaming up with Hulu for a new live-action series revolving around the Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider. Now, Variety has confirmed that Gabriel Luna will reprise his role as Reyes in the series, which is expected to premiere in 2020. Luna had the following to say after the news broke:
It’s an honor to ride again with @Marvel and our new partner @Hulu! 🔥💀🔥 #GhostRider https://t.co/WePYwIfAHB

Gabriel Luna made his debut as Robbie Reyes in the fourth season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC. He played the character in nine season four episodes but did not appear in the show’s fifth season. According to the trade, Hulu’s take on Robbie Reyes won’t be connected to the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. storyline.
In addition to the Ghost Rider project, Hulu has also ordered another live-action Marvel series titled Marvel’s Helstrom. Ghost Rider is being executive produced by Ingrid Escajeda, who will serve as showrunner. Paul Zbyszewski and Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb are also on board as executive producers.
Ghost Rider and Helstrom aren’t the only Marvel series coming to Hulu. The streamer is also developing another season of Marvel’s Runaways and recently announced a slew of animated programs for MODOK, Howard the Duck, Hit-Monkey and Tigra & Dazzler. These animated series will culminate in a crossover show titled The Offenders.
