Is Gal Gadot the perfect Wonder Woman? Zack Snyder has shared a brand new image of the actress preparing for her iconic role in the DC Universe.
Gal Gadot has become such an interesting figure over the past few years. Some may not even remember a time when she was hailed as the face of the DC Universe, being the longest lasting remnant of Zack Snyder’s plans for the franchise. Yet now, years out from her last performance as Wonder Woman, Gadot has largely become a subject of ridicule online.
There are, of course, fractally countless reasons as to why the fandom writ large seems to have turned against Gal Gadot. Even back when Zack Snyder first cast her as Wonder Woman, her performances were critiqued as a bit wooden. The difference is, at that early date in the DC Universe, many fans unfamiliar with Gadot’s acting history believed her performance to have been stilted on purpose to try to suit the character.

Yet, even with all the controversies, Gal Gadot – much like Zack Snyder – still has her fans. And with Snyder himself slowly working through the archives of his DC Universe camera roll, it was only a matter of time until fans got another look at Wonder Woman. This time around, it shows Gadot in a promotional suit before her debut in Batman V. Superman wearing Batman’s gauntlets.
With the multiverse trend coming to a close and the DC Universe trying to distance themselves from any remnants of Zack Snyder’s grand plan, it’s not likely that Gal Gadot will be making her return as Wonder Woman anytime soon. The only real question is, will the controversial actress be redeemed with time, or will she end up in the pit of forgotten franchise faces?
