‘Game Of Thrones’: Who Dies During The Battle Of Winterfell?

Not was going to survive the Battle of Winterfell in tonight’s episode of Game of Thrones and we know who will not live to see the end of the series.

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE BATTLE OF WINTERFELL IN GAME OF THRONES AHEAD!

The battle of Winterfell took its toll on our heroes. Theon Greyjoy was among the casualties as was Jorah Mormont along with fan favorite Lyanna Mormont. In addition, Night Watch brother Eddison Tollett also made the ultimate sacrifice for the cause as did Beric Dondarrion. In the end, many were saved a final sacrifice by Melisandre a.k.a. The Red Woman. The final notable casualty is the Night King who is killed by Arya.

Game of ThronesHBO has released six new images from this week's new episode of Game of Thrones, teasing the epic Battle of Winterfell with the Army of the Dead.

Last week's episode ended with tension at an all-time high for the hit fantasy series as the White Walkers approached Winterfell, teasing the massive upcoming battle that took a total of 55-nights to shoot. Miguel Sapochnik, best known to Game of Thrones fans as the director behind the Battle of the Bastards episode, returned to helm the Battle of Winterfell. The images offer a new look at stars Kit Harington, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Conleth Hill.

David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Bryan Cogman and Dave Hill have written the final six episodes which have been directed by David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik, with Benioff and Weiss helming the series finale. Benioff and Weiss returned to executive produce the final season alongside Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger and Bernadette Caulfield, with Bryan Cogman, Guymon Casady, Vince Gerardis and George R.R. Martin serving as co-executive producers.

While the series is coming to an end, Game of Thrones will be followed by a prequel spin-off which is expected to premiere as early as 2020 and stars Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse (Poldark). Naomi Ackie, Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower, Shella Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp, and Toby Regbo. S.J. Clarkson will direct the series pilot.
