The Hedge Knight is headed to HBO! Fans got their first look at the newest Game of Thrones spin-off series titled A Knight of Seven Kingdoms as filming begins.
It’s no secret that Game of Thrones has been a massive hit for HBO, with each spin-off seeming to exceed where the original flopped. That pattern doesn’t seem to be stopping soon, with a new photo showing off Peter Claffey as the leading role in the newest series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight.
Peter Claffey will be playing Sir Duncan the Tall, a.k.a. Dunk, in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight. The series is the second Game of Thrones spin-off to land on HBO following the success of House of the Dragon.
How Is The Hedge Knight Connected To Game Of Thrones?
Much like the recent Star Wars spin-off The Acolyte, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight is set long before the events of Game of Thrones. The series takes place 100 years in the franchise’s past, following the adventures of “Dunk”, the future Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, and “Egg”, who would grow up to be Aegon Targaryen.
Peter Claffey stars as Sir Duncan the Tall in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight. He’s joined by Dexter Sol Ansell as Aegon Targaryen. The Game of Thrones spin-off rounds off its cast with Finn Bennett, Bertie Carvel, Tanzyn Crawford, Daniel Ings, and Sam Spruell as various members of house Targaryen and Baratheon.
