Right before the series finale, Game of Thrones star Kit Harington checked into a mental health facility for personal reasons.
The final season of Game of Thrones was divisive among fans and critics alike. However, many are still coping with the ending of the series, including one of its stars. Page Six first reported Kit Harington checked into a mental health facility for treatment weeks before the series finale aired. Page Six’s sources say Kit Harington is receiving treatment for stress and alcohol use at the Privé-Swiss in Connecticut. Kit Harington’s wife and former Game of Thrones co-star Rose Leslie is also reportedly supporting her husband at this time. Following the report from earlier today, Kit Harington’s reps have now released an official statement to Entertainment Tonight, confirming his recent treatment:
“Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.”
