Live-Action ‘Ghost Rider’ & ‘Helstrom’ Series Coming To Hulu In 2020

Ghost Rider Helstrom Hulu Marvel

Marvel Television, ABC Signature Studios and Hulu are teaming up for two new live-action series based on the comic book properties Ghost Rider and Helstrom.

The Ghost Rider series revolves around the Robbie Reyes version of the iconic character, who was played by Gabriel Luna in the fourth season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC. Ghost Rider is being executive produced by Ingrid Escajeda, who will serve as showrunner. Paul Zbyszewski and Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb are also on board as executive producers.

Meanwhile, Helstrom follows Daimon and Ana Helstrom, the children of a “mysterious and powerful serial killer.” The two “have a complicated dynamic as they track down the worst of humanity—each with their attitude and skills.” Zbyszewski and Loeb are executive producing. The former will also serve as showrunner.

Ghost Rider and Helstrom aren’t the only Marvel series coming to Hulu. The streamer is also developing another season of Marvel’s Runaways and recently announced a slew of animated programs for MODOK, Howard the Duck, Hit-Monkey and Tigra & Dazzler. These animated series will culminate in a crossover show titled The Offenders.

The second season of Marvel’s Runways is now available on Hulu. Here’s the official synopsis:

The Runaways have left their homes (and evil parents) behind and now have to learn to live on their own. As they scavenge for food, search for shelter, and take care of one another, our kids begin to realize that, for better or worse, they’re stuck with each other. And it’s up to them to take down PRIDE once and for all. But someone sent a mysterious message to Jonah… Is there a mole in the Runaways? Meanwhile PRIDE is focused on finding their children, and Jonah has his own dangerous plan in mind.

Marvel’s Runaways is executive produced by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage alongside Marvel’s Head of Television, Jeph Loeb. Fake Empire’s Lis Rowinski is producing as well. The series is a co-production with ABC Signature Studios.
