It seems Fathom Events totally forgot Ernie Hudson was in Ghostbusters.
The entertainment provider accidentally left out one of the four main Ghostbusters, that being Ernie Hudson’s Winston Zeddmore, from its description for its upcoming 35th-anniversary screening of Ghostbusters. The film is returning to theaters nationwide October 6 and 10 with a special 35th-anniversary cut that will feature introductions from the cast, along with new footage and even alternate takes of some of the film’s most iconic moments.
You can check out Fandom’s description for the 35th-anniversary screening of Ghostbusters below:
When ghosts go on a rampage, only three men can save the world. It’s Ghostbusters, starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis as a maniacal band of parapsychologists specializing in psychic phenomena – and super – natural hilarity and they are back on the big screen for a special 35th anniversary event!
So what do you think about Fathom Events’ failure to include Ernie Hudson in the cast list for Ghostbusters? Let us know in the comments below!
Fandom’s description for the 35th-anniversary screening of Ghostbusters has since been corrected to list Ernie Hudson amongst the cast. As for Ernie Hudson himself, the actor has yet to confirm his involvement in Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters 2020, the long-awaited sequel to the original films directed by his father, Ivan Reitman.
Production on Ghostbusters 2020 is now underway. Jason Reitman is directing the film from a script he co-wrote with Poltergeist remake director Gil Kena. Sigourney Weaver has teased the film will reunite her with Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Bill Murray but this has yet to be confirmed.
Ghostbusters 2020 stars Finn Wolfhard, McKenna Grace, Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, Paul Rudd, and Carrie Coon rounding out the cast. Plot details remain under wraps but the film be a direct continuation of the first two films in the franchise and focus on a single mother and her family.
Ghostbusters 2020 is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 10, 2020. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Ernie Hudson and the future of the Ghostbusters franchise as we learn it.
