Godzilla: King of the Monsters director Michael Dougherty shared a brand new piece of concept art showing off the Kaiju Behemoth.
While it may not have been the commercial success that Warner Bros. was hoping for, Godzilla: King of the Monsters was well received by both fans and critics for its daunting set pieces and stylish action sequences. One of the biggest complaints of 2014’s Godzilla was that the titular character barely received any screen time and that his foes weren’t particularly varied or menacing. With Godzilla: King of Monsters, Dougherty attempted to switch things up and give the titular kaiju some more colorful foes to fight.
Taking to his social media channels, Michael Dougherty showed off a piece of concept art for Titanus Behemoth, one of the brand new kaijus created just for the film. You can check out the concept art for the Godzilla: King of the Monsters kaiju below. Be sure to press play on the video so you can see a full 360 view of Behemoth.

In the caption, Dougherty writes that the giant beast is a cross between a wooly mammoth, an ape, and a giant sloth. Behemoth was just one of many new kaijus that Godzilla had to fight in the film, alongside classic Toho ones including Rodan and Ghidorah.
