‘Gotham Knights’ Finally Gets Official Release Date

It's the same day Arkham Origins was released back in 2013!

Warner Bros. Montreal’s upcoming Gotham Knights video game has finally received an official release date.

It’s been a long road for Gotham Knights, which was first teased by Warner Bros. Montreal all the way back in 2019. The game was finally revealed at the first DC FanDome in 2020, with a cinematic trailer and gameplay seeing Batgirl taking down Mr. Freeze.

Another trailer dropped during 2021’s DC FanDome four months ago, which revealed more from the game’s main villain, the Court of Owls. While we have gotten plenty of reveals from the game so far, a proper release date hasn’t been attached to the project until now.

On Twitter, it was finally revealed that the game is currently slated to arrive on October 25, 2022. As it turns out, this is also the same date Warner Bros. Montreal released Batman: Arkham Origins in 2013. You can see the social media post below.

In addition to the upcoming video game, a series centered on the Gotham Knights is also in development for The CW. That project will be unrelated to the game from Warner Bros. Montreal and will begin shooting in April.

Here is the synopsis for Gotham Knights from Warner Bros. Montreal:

Batman is dead. It is now up to the Batman Family – Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin – to protect Gotham City, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals. You must evolve into the new Dark Knight and save Gotham from chaos.

Gotham Knights will be released on October 25, 2022, and playable on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
